Short sessions that families can run without turning practice into a battle.
More practice. Less waiting.
SpeakToMe is a speech practice app for non-verbal and minimally verbal children. It gives families a short, repeatable home routine they can actually use between speech and language therapy appointments, during long waits for NHS support, or whenever they need a calmer way to practise at home.
Simple turns, fast feedback, and a routine that stays easy to follow.
Useful between appointments or when support has not translated into daily action.
We show a prompt - Child makes a sound - Gets a reward
SpeakToMe keeps the loop simple so children can practise more and adults can keep the routine consistent.
The child sees one visual prompt at a time with a short question such as "What is this?"
The app listens for a short spoken attempt, checks it against the expected answer, and records whether the child met the target.
After enough successful answers, the app opens a time-limited reward window and then returns to practice.
Advice is not the same as a routine.
- Waiting weeks or months for the next NHS speech and language step.
- Trying to turn general guidance into something a child can actually do tonight.
- Needing a calmer, shorter practice loop that fits real life at home.
- Wanting consistency without turning every session into hard work for everyone.
A practical loop families can use again and again.
- One clear prompt at a time.
- Immediate feedback after each attempt.
- Reward-led structure that makes repetition easier to sustain.
- Parent-controlled sessions built for supervised home practice.
